Oklahoma City Museum's Resident Cat Is Stealing Guests' Hearts

The Museum of Osteology in Oklahoma City has one of the cutest mascots ever, a black cat named Sir Indiana Bones who stalks the bone museum and greets visitors. He is also an official museum employee.

Check out the following video of Indy, as he's affectionately known, indulging in a game of hide-and-seek.

TikTok users love this celebrity cat, and @Kelsey asks, "does he ever want to find museum patrons? Asking for a friend...who is me." The museum replies, "Yes! He loves the attention from guests!" Super-fan @Qamina exclaims, "Indian Bones in the flesh OMG." @Ciam adds, "Not me planning a 3 hour road trip to go see a cat in a museum." We feel you on that! @Lemon agrees, adding, "Not me about to drive for 8 hours and pay for a ticket just to lay on the floor with Indiana Bones for 3 hours."

Indy was a shelter cat, and The Oklahoma Gazette reports, the team welcomed the now 4-year-old black cat in 2019, and he’s been prowling the museum grounds ever since. After pleading for a staff pet for several months, the museum staff formed the “Kitty Committee” to persuade management to overturn their previous decision. Upon claiming victory, the team journeyed over to the Moore Animal Shelter to find their new friend.

Due to popular demand, the museum has made Indy his own account which you can follow here! You can also find museum information, hours, location etc here.
