This weekend, Offset jumped onstage and interrupted Cardi B's Rolling Loud performance to publicly ask her to take him back. By the looks of it, she was less than thrilled.

Now, he's out here defending his actions, taking to Twitter to explain his rationale. "All of my wrongs have been made public, i figure It’s only right that my apologies are made public too. A n**** was just trying .....thank god I ain’t got no balloons sheeesh."

He's referencing the v casual 2,000 roses he brought with him onstage, which spelled out "Take me back Cardi." Not at all over-the-top! You can see them in this video of the whole confrontation.

Fans were not having it, and started to call it out for being a PR stunt. The same user who tweeted that video ^ claimed that Cardi's publicist was the one who walked Offset onstage. Another person wrote, "Publicity stunt straight out he has an album coming out." And obviously you don't just casually bring 2,000 roses anywhere....

But a source is denying that it was a stunt. "This was a genuine gesture from Offset to Cardi, it was his idea,” they told Us Weekly. “What about this is a PR stunt? They live their lives in the public eye and showing someone you care in front of others is something people do.”

Sure, sure, okay. HOWEVER, the people in charge of the concert low-key threw some shade on the whole situation, implying that they had nothing to do with this huge gesture. The festivals' co-founder Tariq Cherif released a statement to Us Weekly saying:

"Headliners and their teams have full control of the stage and who is allowed on it during their set at Rolling Loud. The festival does not interfere with or influence a headliner’s set list. We have never and will never do anything to change a headliner’s set.”

So yeah, it looks like this was the opposite of spontaneous. Take that to mean whatever you want, but remember their very public engagement? When it turned out they had actually gotten married a month earlier? I'll let you ponder that.
