Offset Crashed a Cardi B Performance in a Failed Attempt to Win Her Back

The move is less romantic than it is harassment.

On Saturday night, Cardi B became the first female rapper to headline the Rolling Loud music festival in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, her performance got overshadowed by her husband, Offset of Migos, when he used her appearance as a very public way to try to get back together with her. The two split earlier this month, and on Saturday he got on stage with her sporting flower arrangements spelling "TAKE ME BACK CARDI" and asking her to forgive him for cheating.

But one man's grand romantic gesture can be a woman's gigantic red flag. The massive interruption of her performance didn't sway Cardi as Offset seems to have hoped.

As The Root put it, Cardi B wasn't just the first woman to headline Rolling Loud: She's also the first headliner that Rolling Loud let get harassed onstage. By all accounts, once Offset was removed, Cardi's performance was fantastic, but his appearance was also textbook toxic behavior.

For her part, Cardi is making it clear that she has no intention of reuniting with Offset, but she's calling on her fans regardless to not harass him online. Among other things, this is probably a good reminder that not every relationship problem can be solved with an overly elaborate, adult version of a promposal. That and it's not a great move to win your partner back by showing up at their work unannounced.
