Officer Sharing Her Dinner with Her Police K9 Is Just Beautiful

Police dogs and their handlers are wonderful heroes who dedicate long hours to face dangerous situations and rely on each other to provide protection, support and unconditional love. It's also the officer's duty to feed their canine partner and one officer who worked late and didn't pack enough food did what she felt was best to make sure her team mate didn't go hungry.

She shared her chicken dinner with him. Check out the beautiful video posted on October 24 of these two heroes enjoying dinner together.

The video, shared by the TikTok account for @andrea.n.k9creed has so many users confessing to also sharing a fork with their dog.

@Bjin comments, "I do the same with my german shepherd.....same fork! who cares....I love her!" @Blax adds, "Yes! Me all day with my baby same fork and all. We ARE FAMILY!" Otto is on the other side of this, and says, "I love my dog , but from one fork never. They lick butts. People c'mon!"

So, I have no issue with whatever the above officer does with her partner, because they are absolute angels on earth to me and they can do anything they want.

Would I share an actual utensil with my own dog? Nope.

Now, the myth that a dog's mouth us actually cleaner than a human mouth is just that. a myth. Dogs have a different composition of bacteria in their mouths compared to humans. Some of the bacteria found in a dog's mouth are specific to their species and are not typically found in human mouths.Dogs have been known to spread haemophilus aphrophilus to people, which can cause brain abscesses and heart inflammation.

So, can sharing a fork or a lick of ice cream with your dog make you sick? It's possible. But a lot of people do this and a lot of people haven't become ill by doing so.

I'm in the better safe than sorry camp. Plus, I know my own dog likes to lick himself and no thank you!
