Olivia Rodrigo still has us in our feelings after dropping the masterpiece that is Sour almost an entire year ago back in May 2021, but she, on the other hand, has clearly moved on from the person who caused her an album’s worth of heartbreak. ICYMI, over the summer Olivia was spotted canoodling with a dude named Adam Faze at the Space Jam 2 premiere at Six Flags California. A source told E! News at the time that Adam was indeed “her boyfriend.”

“Olivia was in great spirits celebrating Space Jam 2 last night…they were really cute together and weren’t trying to hide their affection at all,” the source said, adding that Olivia and Adam went on “all the rides,” were even “holding hands at one point,” and were basically “together the entire night.”

Since then, though, Olivia and Adam have officially ended their relationship. “They’ve been over for a bit now,” a source told People in February after rumors of their split emerged around New Year's. (I mean, let's just say they weren't exactly each other's New Year's kiss.). Just a few weeks later, Olivia went on an unfollowing spree and got her follower count to zero on Instagram just in time for Adam's subsequent move across the country to New York. Though the two never publicly confirmed their 'ship, all signs seem to suggest that the two parted ways.

And so even though Olivia and Adam aren’t together anymore, we *still* need to know everything about the dude who caught her attention. It goes without saying, but it’s time to whip out the Sherlock Holmes caps because we’ve gotta do a deep dive on this Adam Faze guy. Continue for all the deets!

First things first: How long were Olivia and Adam dating before breaking up?

Per E!’s source, Olivia and Adam “met through industry friends.” No word on exactly how long they were together, but their ’ship ended roughly seven months after they were first seen together. The E! source at the time said Olivia and Adam’s relationship had “only been a few months” and that Olivia seemed “really happy with him and they are definitely dating exclusively and getting serious.”

Sometime in December, fans started speculating if Olivia and Adam called it quits based off a viral TikTok video. In the video, the TikTok user showed images of Adam reportedly spending New Year’s Eve with model Christine Burke, while Olivia posted Instagram photos of her night with Conan Gray.

Fans doubled down on the breakup rumors after Olivia’s December interview with British Vogue was published. In part of the story, Olivia was asked, “What’s the best way to get over someone?” She answered, “Besides cutting off all contact, I think it’s important to not only forgive them but forgive yourself for letting everything happen. That’s what I’ve learned.”

Honestly, on first sight, the quote literally gave ~nothing~ so not sure how fans made it a thing, but (!!) not too long after, Olivia unfollowed Adam’s Instagram accounts (his personal and business), so that made a bit more sense.

Adam works in the entertainment industry

It makes total sense that Olivia met Adam through mutual friends because he works in music, television, and film production. He’s also the co-founder of production company Must B Nice, alongside partner Jamie Dolan. Currently, Adam is producing a movie, titled Who Am I?, with Alisha Boe and Brandon Flynn from 13 Reasons Why!

According to Deadline, Adam had his own podcast, A Leg Up, where he interviewed Jay Leno, Ron Meyer, the Duplass brothers, and Gary Oldman. Before getting into film production, he worked with some big names in the industry, like John Lesher (Birdman, The Beach Bum) and David Permut (Hacksaw Ridge), and he developed his film skills.

Other fun fact: Adam actually used to be a contributing entertainment writer for Forbes, where he covered happenings in film and television. In his official bio for the site, Adam said he’s also the cofounder of Chateau Savant, “an event series that launched this year during the Cannes Film Festival (May 18-26, 2017).”

Adam is…a bit older than Olivia

Friendly reminder that Olivia is still in her teens. No one quite knows just how old Adam really is, but his Forbes bio states that he’s 20. The catch? Adam’s Forbes page hasn’t been updated in four years…meaning there’s a good chance Adam was at least 24 when he began dating Olivia (who was 18 at the time). Some fans allege that Adam has known Olivia since she was 13 and grew concerned as a result, though Adam nor Olivia ever addressed the chatter publicly.
