Things have taken a turn for the Orwellian: Recent stories have exposed a growing white boys’ club, a disregard for major social and cultural movements, and a deeply problematic discounting of human lives (via the ongoing border crisis). Feeling less than patriotic right now? Fear not! Former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are here to lift our spirits.

Attending Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s On The Run II concert in Washington, D.C., last night—and this is already better news to come out of D.C. than usual—the Obamas were spotted tearing up the dance floor in their private box, as posted on Twitter and Instagram. In the videos, the Obamas are seen enthusiastically dancing and lifting their hands together as Jay-Z raps in the background. In another video, former President Obama goes rogue, feeling the beat of the song solo while free-styling. The viral videos have already inspired a ton of reactions on Twitter, with many fans replying along the lines of, “Please come back.” Something tells us they’re content right where they are.
