St. Andrew’s Book Fair — 3-8 p.m. Friday, May 10 (by reservation only), and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11. St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 406 Hillsboro Ave., Edwardsville. The Book Fair features more than 20,000 used books, organized and priced to sell. Categories include fiction (hardcover and paperback), children’s books, history, literature, pets, sports, regional history, cookbooks, gardening, art, biography, music, humor, graphic novels, religion, reference, science fiction and other genres. Other items available include DVDs, Blu-rays, CDs, vinyl records, puzzles, sheet music and much more. St. Andrew’s uses a reservation system to limit Friday night participation to no more than 35 patrons at one time. Area book lovers may sign up for the sale online at SignUpGenius, which is linked on the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church website: (standrews-edwardsville.com). Those without computer access can call 618-692-8104 to make a reservation for Friday. No reservations are required for Saturday. Credit cards now accepted.

Rummage Sale — 7 a.m. to noon. Township Building, 801 E. State St., O’Fallon. Men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, plus household items will be available.

Wednesday, May 15

Senior Citizens Club of O’Fallon — 1 p.m. O’Fallon Township Building, 801 E. State St., O’Fallon. Every third Wednesday of the month. All are welcome.

Music in the Park: Frankie & the Houseshakers — 7 p.m. Shiloh Community Park, 14 Park Drive, Shiloh. Bands will play under the pavilion or inside Klucker Hall, weather permitting. Other area happenings

Memorial Day Observance — 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 27. Veterans Monument, 737 Wesley Drive, O’Fallon. Guest speaker: Brigadier General Ivory Carter, USAF, Command, Control & Cyber Systems Director, USTRANSCOM. There will be participation from the OTHS AFJ ROTC; VFW Post 805; Miss O’Fallon Beatrice McCoy; OTHS Band Ensemble; and Colonel Larry Strube (Ret.), in addition to others. The names of the newly inscribed veterans will be introduced at that time. Pre-service music will begin at 11:15 a.m. Veterans are encouraged to wear their medals and decorations that day. Please bring your own lawn chairs and water. In case of inclement weather, the event will take place at the First Baptist Church, 1111 E. Highway 50, O’Fallon.
