This NYC Hotel Will Put a Christmas Tree in Your Room and Get You in to See the Rockettes

There’s no better place to celebrate the holiday season than New York City. In December, the city turns into a winter wonderland, complete with holiday markets, Christmas trees, and festive lights. Every year, visitors flock to New York City to see the famous Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, admire decorated shop windows, and ice skate in Bryant Park.

To take full advantage of this festive season, The Refinery Hotel decided to create a holiday package that offers guests the quintessential New York City Christmas experience. Now through Christmas Day, guests can book the Refinery’s “Winter Spectacular Stay” for an unforgettable holiday experience, complete with a fresh, in-room Christmas tree and seasonal food and drinks, like eggnog and cookies with milk. You can even order a gingerbread house and spend a night in, decorating to your heart’s content, or you can take advantage of a special discount for tickets to see "The Radio City Christmas Spectacular" starring the Rockettes (Radio City Music Hall is even within walking distance of the hotel).

Every afternoon, the hotel will offer a festive hot chocolate cart, complete with yummy toppings (and some adult-friendly additions). There's no better way to warm up after a day exploring the city in chilly December weather. Throughout the month, the hotel will also have a sleigh full of toys and treats, and children checking in will get to pick something — talk about getting them in the holiday spirit? Finally, enjoy a pre-fixe Christmas feast at Parker & Quinn, the Refinery’s restaurant, with options like tender prime rib and a life-changing mushroom risotto.

I had the chance to experience the Refinery’s Winter Spectacular Stay, and honestly, I wish I never had to check out. Located just steps from major tourist attractions like Times Square and the Empire State Building, its location can’t be beat if you’re hoping to explore the city. As a recent transplant to New York, I was especially excited to try the hotel's festive offerings because this is my first Christmas in the city! Walking into my room to find a beautifully-decorated, fresh-cut Christmas tree was such a treat, and getting to see the Rockettes really put me in the holiday spirit.

Whether you’re a tourist visiting the city for its holiday offerings or a New Yorker looking for a festive staycation, this package is sure to make this holiday season your best one yet.
