NSYNC Reunites on Stage at the 2023 MTV VMAs

NSYNC just made a lot of fans' dreams come true! The group finally reunited for the first time in 10 years while presenting an award together at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday, Sept. 12.

Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass—the five members of the Grammy-nominated music group that debuted in 1995—stood together on the VMAs stage.

In bold suits, NSYNC announced the winner of the Best Pop Video Music Award, with Taylor Swift taking home the top prize for her anthem, "Anti-Hero."

As a big fan of the boy group, it seems like Swift had a little trouble calming down to give her speech, especially after NSYNC gave her friendship bracelets.

The last time the group performed together was at the VMAs in 2013, making the 2023 VMAs the perfect place for them to reunite again. The boy band also came together to celebrate their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at the ceremony in 2018.

Rumors of their appearance at the event swirled recently after the group's logo was spotted on posters for the upcoming animated movie Trolls Band Together. Many suspect that, along with the public appearance together, NSYNC might've recorded new music for the upcoming film, in which Timberlake stars as the character Branch.

Ahead of the show on Sept. 12, fans were hyped for NSYNC's appearance, with many celebrating the moment on X (formerly known as Twitter).

One fan excitedly wrote, "I won’t apologize for the woman I’ll become when *NSYNC comes on stage at #VMAS."

"I can't WAIT for the #NSYNC reunion #VMAs #EntertainmentNews," shared another, along with a fitting photo.

After the official NSYNC VMAs reunion, many fans felt the same as Swift and couldn't stop talking about the pop group. One shared how much they related to Swift's starstruck moment, writing, "Taylor Swift spending half her VMA acceptance speech to beg NSYNC to tell her what they’re gonna do next she’s so me."

Others were (im)patiently waiting for NSYNC to make a major announcement, whether it was new music or a tour.

"if *NSYNC doesn't announce a reunion tour by the end of the night 😮‍💨😵‍💫 #VMAs," penned a fan watching their VMAs reunion.

If NSYNC releases new music for the Trolls Band Together film, it will be their first release since their single ”Girlfriend," which came out in 2002.
