You Can Now See Spring's Prettiest Cherry Trees in Full-Bloom from the Comfort of Your Own Home
As spring flowers begin to bloom throughout March and April, many people plan to visit Washington, D.C., or other notable spots to view the iconic cherry trees in their full glory. But with travel restrictions and stay-home orders the new norm amid the novel coronavirus outbreak, seeing these beautiful, fragrant trees in person isn't an option. Luckily, Google Earth came to here rescue, offering a new way for floral-fanatics to enjoy the botanic experience. According to Apartment Therapy, the platform is making this possible through its "Cherry Blossoms Around the World" local guides online collection.

This virtual tour takes viewers on a journey throughout the most popular cherry blossoms locations, including Meguro River Cherry Blossoms Promenade in Tokyo, Japan; Square Jean XXIII in Paris, France; and Queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver, British Columbia. The spots are picked by visitors and locals who have written reviews on Google Maps.

In total, the 10 locations are all available for viewers' pleasure through satellite imagery. This brings viewers straight into the scenic sites to view the pink array of flowers. To take part in the online experience, all you need to is a WiFi connection and a streaming device.
All of the sites are known for their impressive views. One fan took particular note of the Miharu Takizakura in Tokyo, Japan, as a special location worth seeing, among others featured in the online collection. "What a magnificent Historical place to visit! OBVIOUSLY you'll want to time it right to see this extraordinary tree in full bloom," Steve Gerecke, local guide, said. "At night when crowds disappear, it's a lot more tranquil and peaceful to soak in all in!"
