The Now You See Me gang are making a return to the big screen as Lionsgate revealed that a third installment is in the works.

Comicbook.com shared that Lionsgate's Motion Picture Group Chair Joe Drake said, "We reimagined Now You See Me with Ruben Fleischer, who is an absolute master at shepherding franchises...If you think he did Venom and Uncharted, couldn't be happier about that. That's going to start in the spring."

Louis Leterrier directed the first Now You See Me, which made over $350 million at the box office from its $75 million budget. Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco and Morgan Freeman, it followed an FBI Agent and an Interpol Detective tracking a team of illusionists who pull off bank heists during their performances, and reward their audiences with the money.

Now You See Me 2 was directed by Jon M. Chu, who has since directed hits such as Crazy Rich Asians and In The Heights. The film made over $330 million and featured the original gang with the additions of Lizzy Caplan and Daniel Radcliffe.

It's been seven years since Now You See Me 2 hit the box office, so it will certainly be interesting to see if the series can still pull in a crowd.

No casting details or any further info just yet, but IMDb lists Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson and Morgan Freeman to return, though that is yet to be confirmed.
