Spoiling your furry friends is fun until they're begging for constant attention and now you're tripping over their toys everywhere you walk. But ask yourself this: When was the last time your grown cat or doggo played with that squeaky toy he/she used when your pet was a baby? If you don't know the answer to that, it's time to bid it farewell.

Because, with spring right around the corner (so close, I can feel it), getting rid of unnecessary clutter is no longer just a trend inspired by Marie Kondo's Netflix show, but a must-seriously, it can help your mental health. And everyone's doing it, even on behalf of their pets!

Type in #KonMariPets on Instagram for proof, and you'll see dozens of dog and cat moms and dads giving their pets' stuff the Marie Kondo treatment, known as the KonMari method. Whether you have a pet or not, these posts are undeniably adorable. No exaggeration, I actually cried watching Valor the Golden Doodle share whether each toy sparked joy or not.

Some other favorites? It's nearly impossible to narrow it down, but here are a few that will boost your mood:

With that inspo fresh in your mind, there's only one thing left to do: It's time to KonMari your pet's belongings. But don't you dare move that bone they hid under the couch cushions three months ago, OK?
