Does a more heavenly combination exist than couture and chocolate? Obviously not. Caroline Herrera is hosting a pop up of Angelina, the legendary Parisian tea room, in its flagship store on Madison Avenue through July 31. The original Angelina on Rue de Rivoli is a Fashion Week destination unto itself—its decadent l’ancienne L’Africain hot chocolate and Mont Blanc pastries have fueled many a jet-lagged editor.

"We think of our flagship as our home, and this is an extension of that, a place where everyone can come and entertain. And who doesn’t want to be outside, see friends and enjoy the sun and flowers right now?" Carolina Herrera creative director Wes Gordon told WWD. The little eight-seat cafe area will be outfitted with a pastry cart from Paris. To celebrate the house's 40th anniversary this year, they will be serving the Carolina Herrera version of the Mont Blanc, with cherry and chestnut cream vermicelli in the house colors pink and red as well as the hot chocolate (both hot and iced).

The original tea room opened in 1903 and its rich pastries and Art Nouveau designs made it popular with the likes of Marcel Proust and Coco Chanel. Its popularity has held strong for over a century. In more recent years, it has expanded beyond Paris, and last year opened an outpost near Bryant Park (And it is absolutely essential to stop for there takeout hot chocolate before strolling the Bryant Park Christmas market in the winter).

"As someone with a hopeless sweet tooth myself, Angelina's has always been one of my stops every time I’m in Paris, and to be able to host them right here at our Madison Avenue flagship this spring is a dream come true," says Gordon.
