You Can Now Buy and Sell Home Decor on Poshmark
Just when you thought shopping for home décor couldn't get easier, it did. Poshmark-the site known for helping you clear out your closet (and score great secondhand items on the cheap)-just announced they'll be expanding into home decor.
You can use the app-available on Apple and Android devices-to browse listings, which are displayed with large imagery, a lot like your Instagram feed. It's easy to lose all sense of time scrolling, especially since the brand's launched this vertical fully stocked, so there's plenty to explore. The Home section-or "Market," to use Poshmark parlance-is divided into sections like accents, bath, bedding, office, wall art, and storage & organization, just to name a few. There's even a holiday section, so you can upgrade your Christmas tree without paying full price this winter. (Or right now, if you're gearing up for Christmas in July.)
The expansion marks a big step for the brand's future: "With the launch of the Home Market, we're taking our first step into broader lifestyle categories and expanding our social marketplace beyond the closet," said Manish Chandra, founder and CEO of Poshmark. "This Market launch reiterates the power of Posh Markets to scale social commerce and enables Poshmark to continue transforming the e-commerce experience."
Poshmark plans on making their home market like no other, by putting an emphasis on: discovery and exploration, connection, and tailored content. They're planning to set themselves apart from home décor competitors like Wayfair by focusing on the consumer experience. They want you to discover new brands, connect with other 'Poshers,' and easily find new products.
