You Can Now Buy Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Royal Wedding Getaway Car

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped out for their evening wedding reception—the bride in a sleek Stella McCartney gown, her second wedding dress of the day, and the groom in a James Bond-worthy tux by Tom Ford—this particular portion only got better with Harry dashingly opening the door for the bride as they both took off in an ice blue convertible.

Kensington Palace announced at the time that the model of the vehicle, an E-Type Zero by Jaguar, also came with a thoughtful, eco-friendly element. The car itself was manufactured in the 1960s, but it had subsequently been converted to electric power. Fans and viewers got a panoramic view of the couple then driving off into the sunset of Windsor Castle’s sweeping landscape as they made the short journey over to the Frogmore House for their 200-person, hyper exclusive evening reception.

The car even came with a customized license plate that read “E190518” which is the European formatting for the couple’s wedding date of May 19, 2018.

According to reports, the pair rented the vehicle, but like so many elements from the royal wedding, it became a coveted object that will now be available to the masses (at least those who can afford the hefty price tag). Business Insider reports that the pricing for the car is around the $500,000 range.

However, the odds are in the brand’s favor since there should be a pool of car enthusiasts who were among the group of nearly 2 billion people who tuned into the 2018 royal wedding.

Jaguar’s Classic department is now open for orders, which will be fulfilled starting in 2020.
