You Can Now Buy a ‘Golden Girls’ Face Mask and It’s the Most Adorable Thing
Wearing a cloth face mask can feel somewhat uncomfortable, but one factor that helps first-timers get accustomed to wearing them are fun designs and prints. Just as big corporations like Disney are creating cloth fabric masks for the public, small businesses are starting to do the same.
Now, several Etsy sellers are making their own versions of fabric face masks in bright colors, floral patterns, and gingham prints. There’s even a growing space of pop culture favorites, like Golden Girls face masks, featuring illustrated portraits of Dorothy, Rose, Blanche, and Sophia. Some of the masks also have sayings such as “Bea Safe” and “Thank you for staying home.” Just note that while these cloth masks are for protective use, they’re not medical-grade. Etsy noticed a rise in face mask searches in the beginning of April after recommendations were made by officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, asking Americans to cover their faces while in public spaces to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus.
