Frank's RedHot

No one can ever accuse Southern cooks of not knowing how to properly spice a dish. We build intricate layers of flavor in heirloom recipes just the way our grandmothers taught us, from gumbo and jambalaya in Louisiana to perfectly smoked brisket in Texas and hot chicken in Nashville. Needless to say, we’re pretty generous in our seasonings and the resulting flavors are unparalleled.

We also feel passionately about the store-bought brands we choose to lend spice. Ask five Southerners about their favorite hot sauce, and you'll get five different answers. Cholula, Texas Pete, Crystal, Louisiana, Tabasco, or Frank’s RedHot—we stick loyally to our favorites and swear by them to anyone who’ll listen.

For the Frank’s RedHot crew (or those who are just looking for some bonus heat on your favorite dishes), we have some great news coming out of Maryland. Earlier this year, the 104-year-old company announced new Dip’n Squeeze Sauces to make dipping and dunking easier for hot sauce fans; the new sauces are thicker than classic Frank’s RedHot.

Now, you can put ‘em in your pocket.

New Frank’s RedHot Mini Squeeze Sauces, available in Sriracha and Creamy Buffalo, are just two ounces and available at Walmart stores for $1 each. Bring them on the road as a backup in case that one dish at the potluck could use a pick-me-up, pack a mini in your beach bag, or snag a few early stocking stuffers for spice lovers in your life. These little compact squeeze sauces may be small in size, but they’re big on flavor. Frank’s RedHot Mini Squeeze Sauces will be rolling out nationwide in the coming weeks.

Add it to the list when you leave the house, and bring some Southern heat with you wherever you go: phone, keys, wallet, hot sauce.
