What November's Leo Horoscope Means for You

It was a wild October, but guess what, Leo darling? November may be even more intense. The month kicks off with a new moon in Scorpio on Wednesday, November 7, activating the area of your chart connected to home and family. This is a wonderful time to focus your attention inward and reflect on your relationships, responsibilities, and — perhaps most importantly — boundaries.

Believe it or not, the holidays are already right around the corner, which is a time that will definitely bring up a lot of feelings, both good and bad. Things will undoubtedly get hectic, so under this lunation, do your best to find a moment of calm. Even a subtle pause will give you the energy needed to propel you forward.

Speaking of upward motion, a huge event occurs on Thursday, November 8, when Jupiter (the planet of luck and expansion) moves into like-minded, fiery Sagittarius. For the next 13 months, Jupiter will be activating the area of your chart associated with creativity, romance, and theatricality. Sound familiar? This is your zone, Leo babe.

Known to astrologers as the “fifth house,” this is the area where we are inspired to share our artistic output with the world. You’ll feel excited, motivated, and extremely flirtatious, so don’t be surprised if love seems to fall directly in your lap. Lucky Jupiter only goes over this region once every 12 years (its last journey through the fifth house was in 2006), so this motion is definitely something to celebrate.

There’s trouble in paradise, however. Right as sensual Venus finally concludes its retrograde cycle, Mercury starts its own backward spin. That’s right, Leo love: It’s time for yet another Mercury retrograde. But just because the planets are moving in reverse doesn’t mean you need to moonwalk as well. You’ll be feeling pulled toward the past and, thanks to the position of the celestial bodies, you’ll be tempted to revisit a former fling. Resist the urge. Halloween is over, so leave the ghosts alone.

Sagittarius season officially kicks off on Thursday, November 22, as the sun begins its cruise through the zodiac’s final fire sign. Fire energy fans your own flame, so over the next few weeks look for lots of new opportunities to shine. But every performer needs an audience. Ask yourself, who are your people, Leo?
