On some level, your achievements are contingent on having a stable and encouraging extended network. On Wednesday, November 7, the new moon in Scorpio inspires you to ruminate on this concept. This is a great time to visualize your future and consider how you can broaden your horizons to get exactly where you want to go.
Embrace this lunar energy, because the very next day, a radical shift occurs in the sky. After 13 months cruising across the Scorpio sky, Jupiter (the planet of expansion) moves into Sagittarius for the first time since 2006. It takes Jupiter 12 years to move across the zodiac, and now it’s back, and ready to shift through your psychic zone. Known by astrologers as the “twelfth house,” this is the very last region of the birth chart. It’s the unseen realm, so it’s associated with the subconscious, psychic powers, and hidden things.
When Jupiter moves across this zone, these themes become larger than life. Over the next few months, expect “secrets” to become a central theme. But before you can start enjoying Jupiter’s offerings, there is a bit of a cosmic annoyance coming your way. On Friday, November 16, just as Venus concludes its retrograde cycle, Mercury begins its own. Alas, for the fourth and final time of 2018, Mercury is going in reverse. This doesn’t mean you need to run for the hills, but I would advise you to follow the standard retrograde protocol: Read (and reread) the fine print, brace yourself for travel delays, and expect technological malfunctions. This retrograde concludes on December 6, so although it’s annoying, remember that it'll be over soon.
A new astrological season begins on Thursday, November 22 when the sun cruises into your zodiac neighbor, Sagittarius. Corresponding with Jupiter’s own motion, Sagittarius illuminates the mysterious unseen realm of your chart. But things won’t be in the shadows for long. The following day, a full moon in Gemini on Friday, November 23 electrifies the sky. Full moons occur when the sun and moon meet in direct opposition, which means that under the moonbeams, you’ll discover exactly what you need to see.
