Have You Noticed 'The Voice' Coaches Say the Exact Same Thing After Every Blind Audition?

From Country Living

  • The Voice coaches all ask the same question after every Blind Audition.

  • Here's why the habit makes sense.

You can count on The Voice for a lot of things.

If you tune in every Monday and Tuesday (except when the schedule is off), you can expect to see coaches Blake Shelton, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, and Nick Jonas going at it for the best contestants. You can also anticipate amazing performances that you never saw coming. And we can promise you that Blake will always be there to pull out his signature finger point or try and bribe someone with a puppy.

But there’s another aspect of the Blind Auditions, specifically, that never changes. Have you ever noticed that the coaches say the exact same thing after the artists finish their songs? If you’re a super fan we bet you know what it is!

Without fail, Blake, Kelly, Nick, and John always ask the singers: "What is your name and where are you from?" Every 👏time!

It makes sense, of course, because the coaches want to hear more about the people in front of them. They can’t see the contestants until they turn around, and they always need more info so they can try and convince them to pick their team. If someone is from Texas, for example, you know Kelly’s going to use that to her advantage.

We especially love when they come across someone who doesn’t sound like their voice, like former winner Chevel Shepherd or contestant Kennedy Holmes.

Are there any other habits you’ve noticed the coaches do often? Let us know in the comments!
