If we cannot trust pizza, then what can we trust? Pizza can actually save lives, after all. But has a Little Caesars restaurant been pulling the wool over the eyes of its customers?

The Little Caesars location in question is not listed, but a Twitter user filmed a video that makes it look as though workers rolled a shopping cart full of frozen DiGiorno pizzas into the restaurant instead of its hot and ready pizza pies.

The incident even caught the eye of model and author Chrissy Teigen after the tweet went viral. She wrote that the restaurant was “the only little caesars I wanna go to.”

However, some pizza lovers were confused after watching the video. That’s because Little Caesars boasts about how the mixers in the back of the store are not just for show. It claims to be the only national chain that makes its dough fresh in each location.

So what is the truth?

Speaking to People, a spokesperson for Little Caesars said, “Of course, Little Caesars only serves freshly baked pizzas made from fresh dough. We think this is probably just a funny coincidence, but are investigating.”

The rep went on to suggest that the Little Caesars appears to be located inside a Kmart and that a customer could have brought the DiGiorno pizza inside.

The person who runs the DiGiorno pizza Twitter was quick to comment with their own suspicions on the subject.

Little Caesars informed People that the person in the video was, in fact, a Kmart employee, and claims that no DiGiorno pizzas were baked or served at the location.

The representative said, “On that day, K-Mart received a few complaints from customers about having purchased expired DiGiorno pizzas from that location, and because it was so close to closing time, the K-Mart manager directed his employee to temporarily store them in a cooler adjacent to the Little Caesars location for disposal in the morning.” And now? I can sleep easy.
