It’s important to be prepared.

The warmer weather sticking around means more time we’ll be outside with our fur babies. From hikes with our dogs to road trips and everything in between, we can’t wait to bring them along for these summer adventures. But, it’s always important to be prepared for what can happen.

Wow, this is such an important video to take note of! Even if you don’t think this could happen to your dog, it’s better to be prepared. We love her suggestion of always carrying Benadryl just in case. You never know when you'll need it.

“We always carry emergency Benadryl in our outing bags as well as in the car/at home. So much better to be prepared than rush to the vet,” said @dynamicdogtraining. Exactly! There’s no such thing as being over-prepared. If your dog is stung by a bee, pay close attention and look for some of these warning signs she listed – hives, difficulty breathing, severe swelling of the head and neck, and seizures.

Another reason to remember these warning signs is to possibly avoid a vet bill if it isn’t an emergency. @jennamblackburn commented, “Thank you for this. The first time my baby got stung I freaked out and went straight to the emergency vet. $200 for Benadryl lol.” O.M.G Vets are expensive! But there is no price tag on keeping our dogs safe. We’ll pay whatever it takes!
