Not One But TWO “13 Reasons Why” Stars Are Playing Big Roles in New Netflix Hit “Trinkets”

Being a teen means dealing with the stress of impending college apps, maybe some relationship drama and figuring out what you're going to wear tomorrow. But the teens in the new Netflix series, Trinkets, also have to deal with their addiction to shoplifting. The teen drama is based on a novel of the same name by Kirsten Smith. Trinkets follows three girls who become friends at a Shoplifter's Anonymous meeting. But instead of helping each other break their bad habits, the girls decide to team up and shoplift together. The show is already available for streaming on Netflix, but get to know the cast before you dive in.

Brianna Hildebrande as Elodie Davis

As Elodie Davis, Brianna plays a girl who's relocated to Portland, Oregon from New Mexico to live with her dad and his family after her mom's death. Elodie picked up her stealing habit to cope with her mother's illness and death. She's not particularly close with her dad, so now she's trying to navigate her new normal.

If Brianna looks familiar it's probably because you recognize her from the role as Negasonic Teenage Warhead in the Deadpool films. In 2014, Brianna also played the role of Jen in Annie Undocumented, an award-winning web series.

Kiana Madeira as Moe Truax

In the series, Moe has a hard shell, seemingly stemming from her unresolved family issues. Moe has a father who was absent during most of her childhood due to his time in prison. She's trying to reconnect with her dad, but he keeps standing her up, putting more strain on their relationship. Like Elodie, Moe is also a kleptomaniac, a person who's unable to resist urges to steal.

Kiana Madeira is a Toronto native who's landed her biggest role yet. Before Trinkets, you might have caught Kiana in smaller roles on series like The Flash and Coroner.

Quintessa Swindell as Tabitha Foster

As Tabitha, Quintessa plays a girl who has no need to steal, but does it anyways. Tabitha seemingly has the perfect life. Her family's well-off and she's the it-girl at her high school. But is her life really as perfect as it seems? Season 1 gives a peek into some of Tabitha's relationship drama.

Quintessa's a newcomer to the acting scene. Her role as Tabitha marks her first major acting credit.

Henry Zaga as Luka Novak

Luka's also an attendee at Shoplifters Anonymous. Though he doesn't share much about himself in season 1, we can tell that there's definitely some chemistry between him and Tabitha. We also know that Luka is a nightclub bartender living with his ex, Sabine.

You might recognize Luka from his roles as Brad in 13 Reasons Why and Josh Diaz in Teen Wolf. You can also catch him in the X-Men spinoff film, The New Mutants, when it's released in 2020.

Katrina Cunningham as Sabine

Sabine is Luka's live-in ex-girlfriend. In season 1 of Trinkets, we see her form a friendship with Elodie that some might describe as toxic, since Sabine is constantly pressuring Elodie into making bad decisions.

Like Sabine, Katrina is also a musician in real life. When she performs on the show, she's really singing her own original tracks. Katrina has been singing and acting for a years now. You might recognize her from her role as Kristina Fuego on the HBO series, The Deuce.

Brandon Butler as Brady Finch

In the show, Brandon plays Brady, Tabitha's controlling and abusive on and off again boyfriend. Brady's involved in the season 1 cliffhanger that will have you begging to know what happens next.

If Brandon looks familiar, it's because you've seen him play the role of Scott Reed in 13 Reasons Why. Brandon's also had several small roles, like a part as a frat guy in the soap opera, General Hospital.

Odiseas Georgiadis as Noah Simos

Noah is Moe's friends with benefits, though she doesn't want the world to know they are even friends. On the show, Noah's also a soccer player on Brady's team. Season 1 follows Noah and Moe's up and down relationship.

This isn't Odiseas's first acting gig. You might have seen him in The Perfect Date as Murph or his smaller roles in Gotham and Blue Bloods. You can also catch him in his upcoming role as Kwame in the movie, Dr. Bird's Advice for Sad Poets.

Larry Sullivan as Doug Davis

Doug is Elodie's dad, who now after her mom's death, is now in her life full-time. He wasn't always there when Elodie lived with her mom, but he really wants the best for her.

Larry's Sullivans had a ton of acting parts before this one. Some roles you might have seen him in include his parts as Oren Berg in Big Little Lies and Nelson McClintock on Scandal.
