Northstar Announces New Opening Day Following Delay

Yesterday, Northstar posted a picture on Instagram of a skier doing a mute grab. Fitting, considering Northstar is popular in Northern California for its various park features.

Officials at Northstar paired the park skiing with an exciting opening update. "We’re flipping out because ski and ride season starts this Thursday, November 23rd!"

Along with the season-starting news, Northstar also let guests in on some important details regarding the mountain.

As far as skiable terrain, Northstar reported that "it’s still early season footprint, but we’ll be spinning Big Springs Gondola and Vista with access to Skid Trail, Lumberjack, and Lower Main Street!"

For those curious about lifts, Big Springs Gondola will begin loading guests at 8:30am and Vista will open just 30 minutes later, at 9am.

With all the hubbub around paid parking, Northstar falls in the middle. The mountain advises carpooling and showing up early to secure parking.

Luckily, reservations are not required to park at Northstar until December 16, but guests are allowed to begin making up to 5 reservations ahead of time at ParkNorthstar.com.

Excitingly, Northstar urges guests to "grab your skates," because the ice rink opens this Wednesday!
