Northern Colorado Oktoberfests to hit in September, October
Bust out your lederhosen and beer steins. It's Oktoberfest season.
Live music, German-style foods and special beer tappings abound this month into October.
Take your pick from the array of area Oktoberfest celebrations offered in Fort Collins and Northern Colorado.
Goatoberfest
Where: Gilded Goat Brewing Co., 3500 S. College Ave., Fort Collins
When: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9
Goatoberfest is back for another year in Midtown Fort Collins. The annual celebration has historically served up music, merriment, German-style beers, Bavarian pretzels and more food specials at Gilded Goat Brewing.
Loveland Oktoberfest
Where: Fairgrounds Park, 700 Railroad Ave., Loveland
When: 4-10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, and noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16
Get ready to raise your beer steins at Loveland's annual Oktoberfest. The free event will feature food vendors, live music — including polka, of course — a beer stein relay, best-dressed contest, stein-hoisting competition and more. For more information, visit oktoberfestloveland.org.
Spargetoberfest
Where: Sparge Brewing, 3999 George W. Bush Ave., Wellington
When: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16
Get your heart pumping at Sparge Brewing's third annual Spargetoberfest 5K and festivities. The race begins at 9 a.m., followed by a post-race party — think food truck fare, local vendors and a dunk tank — at the brewery around 10. To register for the 5K, visit spargebrew.com.
Oktoberfest at Zwei
Where: Zwei Brewing, 4612 S. Mason St., Fort Collins
When: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16

Oktoberfest tapping at Mythmaker
Where: Mythmaker Brewing, 1035 S. Taft Hill Road, Fort Collins
When: Starting at noon on Saturday, Sept. 16
Head over to west Fort Collins for a special tapping of two new Mythmaker beers — its Oktoberfest German-style märzen and its fall seasonal "Party Beer: Festbier." Both beers will be available in one-liter boot glasses.
Windsor's Oktoberfest
Where: Fifth and Main Streets, downtown Windsor
When: 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23
Beers, brats and oompah music await you in Windsor this year. The town's free Oktoberfest celebration will take over a portion of its quaint downtown, serving up authentic German food, live music, a beer garden, games and activities. For more information, head to windsorchamber.net.
Oktoberfest at Stodgy
Where: Stodgy Brewing Co., 1802 Laporte Ave., Fort Collins
When: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30
Head to Stodgy Brewing Co. for a special beer and stein release, German brats and pretzels, and live music.
Jessup Farm Barrel House Oktoberfest
Where: Jessup Farm Barrel House, 1921 Jessup Drive, Fort Collins
When: Noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30
Join the Jessup Farm festivities this year, including live music, authentic German food and beer at Jessup Farm Barrel House. Tickets are $20 and include a commemorative beer stein and your first stein fill.
Lyriktoberfest
Where: The Lyric, 1209 N. College Ave.
When: 1-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14
Beer fans, rejoice! The Lyric is opening up its lawn to 15 local breweries, which will showcase their seasonal selections in a mini beer fest at the north Fort Collins theater. Lyriktoberfest will also feature traditional German food and live music by Shtonk Brass and The Swashbuckling Doctors. Tickets are $40 in advance, $50 day of and discounted for Lyric members.
