Husband-and-wife-duo Tom and Cynthia Rosicki founded Sparkling Pointe Winery in 2004 with a dedication to the exclusive production of Méthode Champenoise Sparkling Wines. Focusing on traditional varieties (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier), grapes are sustainably grown on three vineyard sites spanning 40 acres. Sparkling Pointe wines have been consistently acknowledged as some of the best in the New York wine region, earning 90+ points from Wine Advocate, Wine Enthusiast, and Wine Spectator.
Born at the gates of the Champagne region in France, Gilles Martin obtained an engineering degree in biology and food sciences and a Master's in Oenology from the University of Montpellier in the Languedoc wine region in the South of France. His 1986 Master thesis on the technology of ultra-filtration wine won national acclaim and a first prize, awarded in person, by former President of France Jacques Chirac. Now at the helm of Sparkling Pointe as head winemaker, Gilles takes New York sparkling wine to a new level.
“Pure symphony of the senses, elegant ballet of tiny bubbles, the perfect harmony between soul and people.” -Gilles Martin, Head Winemaker of Sparkling Pointe
