She may have starred in Normal People, an adaptation of Sally Rooney's novel by the same name, but Daisy Edgar-Jones looked anything but ordinary when she walked the Met Gala red carpet this evening.

For the big event, Edgar-Jones embraced the glamour edict of this year's Gala's theme, with a shimmering shift dress by Oscar de la Renta covered in long, glittering fringe. Though the hemline only came down to mid-thigh, the fringe extended all the way to the floor, giving it tons of movement, while the slender straps made it a gown any flapper girl would be sure to envy. And though the dress perhaps evoked more of a 1920s feel than the Gilded Age inspiration suggested by the dress code, there's no denying it brought plenty of glam to the carpet.

Edgar-Jones accented the look with shimmering teal eyeshadow and simple, straight hair to let the dress shine. She likewise added minimal jewelry: earrings in platinum with diamonds from the 2022 Tiffany Blue Book Collection, two diamond and platinum Tiffany bracelets, and and two diamond and platinum rings, again by Tiffany.

Edgar-Jones first captures audiences' attentions in the critically-acclaimed Hulu series Normal People, in 2020. While the persistent lack of news about a possible second season has left many fans to lose hope about the chance to see more of the story of Marianne and Connell, Edgar-Jones will be starring in the Reese Witherspoon-backed adaptation of best-selling novel Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens, which is out later this year. (For Normal People fans, Hulu's adaptation of Normal People author Sally Rooney's first novel Conversations with Friends will debut on May 15.)
