Nor'easter To Slam 50+ Million Americans With Snow, Wind, Rain

It's been a trying start to the season. But things are about to turn around in a major way: much of America is in a cold, stormy pattern and will be for a significant period of time.

According to YouTube storm forecasting service channel Direct Weather, it starts with "some showery activity both in the form of rainfall and snowfall for the Northwest, also rainfall for Texas, and a coastal storm off the shores of the East Coast."

"When we're in an El Nino, we usually gave a strong flow from the South, moving across the nation from West to East."

"As this storm moves Southward, we expect it to move Eastwards eventually."

Friday afternoon on the 5th is the first major talking point in the forecast.

The snowstorm predicted for Texas and Louisiana one will "move northward and really cause some major snowfall for the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern corner of the nation."

From the 6th to the 7th, there is snowfall predicted for Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia.

Southern New England gets in on the weather, too: Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island especially.

The next storm, 996, begins between New Mexico and Texas. It's "pretty far out" for a prediction, so don't set your hopes too high.

But the weather pattern is still something to watch. By Tuesday afternoon, there is a "really ripe pattern." We love to hear that!

Specifically, heavier snowfall mixes in for the Midwest and the East Coast.

However, the warm air moves the storm and changes the snow to rainfall, so, this storm is a lot dicier than the former. With the cold temps following the initial downpours, the weather may get pretty nasty.

Wisconsin, Michigan, and Illinois may see extreme snow as well.

For Wisconsin, that's looking at you, skiers of Cascade Mountain, Granite Peak, Devil's Head, Alpine Valley, Christie, Wilmot, and Whitecap Mountains Resort.

For Michigan, Crystal Mountain, Boyne Mountain Resort, and Nubs Nob Resort are among the mountains that will be seeing snow soon.

Illinois is home to Chestnut Mountain, so get psyched, Chestnutters!

Further towards the East, even in Maine, there may be snowfall. Keeping our fingers crossed for you all!

Total snowfall looks "intense" for the East. And hey, they need it to combat those crazy floods that have demolished roads and resorts alike!

Sugarloaf and Sunday River saw demolished snow from the intense rains recently, but this could be the fresh start East Coast skiers need.

Overall, there is a lot of precipitation predicted for the Northwest (thank you, we need it, bad!) that ends up tracking up the East Coast.

The Midwest could see 1 to 3 feet of snowfall over the next 15 days as well.

All in all, the weather forecast continues to see storms on the horizon. The biggest takeaway here, according to Direct Weather, is that we are in "a cold, stormy pattern."

It's about time!
