Nordstrom Just Quietly Put 2 of the Biggest It Bags on Sale Right Now
My family comes from Spain and naps are part of their religion. I’m also a born and bred New Yorker, and the only time I can comfortably drift into a deep afternoon sleep is when I’m on vacation on a beach and the mix of frozen drinks in my blood and hot sun on my skin gives me no other choice. Recently, though — thank you anxiety, stress, and pandemic panic! — I’ve been taking naps on the weekends whenever I get the chance. And when I do, it’s almost always on a Marc Jacobs bag that’s currently on sale at Nordstrom.
That’s probably not how you anticipated that paragraph ending. Months ago, I wouldn’t have either! Even though I have waxed poetic about the Insta-famous Marc Jacobs pillow bag and how soft and poofy it is, I have never napped on it until quarantine. Since my boyfriend and I currently do all and any activities in our apartment, it gets messy faster than I previously thought humanly possible. My Marc Jacobs pillow bag is my go-to for quick errands and dog walks and when I return, after sanitizing everything, I throw the bag on the couch and promptly fall asleep on it. The weight of the outside world is on my shoulders but definitely not on my head.
I’m thinking about that bag a lot today not just because I’m staring at it, in the same place on the couch I napped just yesterday, but also because I saw it’s currently on sale at Nordstrom. As much as I’m happy I’ve had the bag to nap on for many weeks now, I’m slightly bitter I didn’t wait a little longer for this discount. The bag is sold out nearly everywhere right now, probably because it’s so multi-faceted, so finding it for $200 under retail price is pretty unheard of. It’s definitely jealousy-inducing.
The pillow bag isn’t the only iconic Marc Jacobs piece quietly on sale at Nordstrom right now. The brand’s viral Camera Bag, which was all over Instagram last year, is also majorly discounted. While I wouldn’t advise napping on it, I would recommend using it religiously. It’s just big enough to carry everything and small enough to not even feel you’re wearing it.
Aside from including two of the most viral It bags of 2019, the Marc Jacobs sale at Nordstrom also has tons of dreamy runway pieces majorly marked down. If you happen to have a spare couple hundred dollars, this might be one of the only times you can buy a viral Marc Jacobs runway moment for less. Once again, I wouldn’t necessarily take a nap in these pieces either, but they’re definitely what I’m dreaming of when I finally do drift into sleep.
