This week in shopping was flavored with wistful hues, escapist silhouettes, and nostalgia. It seems we are kicking and screaming against the end of a summer that barely was. But, for every flight we didn’t catch and every lost moment spent musing on how long the “new normal” will remain the status quo, there’s the promise of reprise through fashion. (At times, we have to wonder whether it could be better characterized as playing dress-up at home.)

Below, find the very best things to shop on the internet this weekend, from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale’s hidden gems to whatever the hell “Cottagecore” is, and beyond.

What’s New

To help you bring your limoncello summer dreams sweetly into fall, Cuup just launched its internet-loved (impossibly comfy) bras and underwear in a gorgeous lemon hue called Citrine. The shade looks so good on all skin tones, which is fitting because there’s something about Cuup that makes us want to show off our intimates (and bare a bit of skin while we’re at it).

Another summer essential we’re bringing with us into the next season? Picnics — as pants . Sabrina Olivera’s SOLDADERAS collection, an homage to women soldiers of the Mexican revolution, just opened for preorder and is expected to sell out fast. One hundred percent of the proceeds from all three styles of the jaw-dropping pants will go towards Red Nacional de Refugios A.C, an organization providing resources to victims of domestic violence.

In cozier news, whether you lounge cazh or classy, both camps will love two of this week’s launches. Pangaia , the celeb-loved sweats brand, dropped a collab with Jaden Smith’s water company JUST, and the result is a line of pool-blue chunky separates we’d happily drown in. Meanwhile, Giovanna is making the high-end house dress happen with its line of made-to-order nightgowns .

If your lounging sesh gets interrupted with a pressing errand, we recommend throwing on a pair of Re/Done’s ‘70s sneakers relaunch , which includes authentic-looking vintage running shoes with a heavy dose of nostalgia. You (and those photos of your dad when he was young) would certainly approve.

What’s Trending

According to global fashion resale platform Vestiaire Collective, so-called “Cottagecore” is having a moment. Milkmaid-worthy brands are seeing massive search spikes this quarter, with Faithfull the Brand queries going up by 956 percent, Batsheva by 305 percent, and For Love & Lemons by 305 percent also. The platform has hundreds of styles from the brands, but if you don’t want to buy second hand or can’t find your size, we picked out some of our fave pieces from each to shop new.

Shoppers are also scrambling to get their hands on a new Frankies Bikinis swim and loungewear edit from influencer Matilda Djerf, which racked up a 6,000-person waitlist prior to launch this past Thursday. The sparkly lurex and terry cloth line includes flattering bikinis, cozy rompers, and breezy separates in lilac and beige shades.

What’s on Sale

Naturally, the sale that’s on everyone’s mind right now is Nordstrom’s hotly anticipated Anniversary Sale, which is a major shopping event every time it comes around annually. One key section of the sale that gets overlooked is it’s SPACE landing page , a destination for shopping emerging designers. SPACE is included in the sale and offers generous discounts on hot brands like Jacquemus, Khaite, and Margiela, but a word of warning: the storefront is quickly selling out.

Another hot (and quickly depleting) sale comes from indie shop Lisa Says Gah, who we love for being objectively adorable. It’s rare sample sale features top brands plus its own designs, like this Instagram-loved dress and this universally flattering top .

Last (and as they say, certainly not least), period-panty brand Thinx is having a sitewide sale , so you can stock up on a new cycle set in a bajillion different styles and fluid levels.
