Nolde student art contest announces winners

May 2—Art Plus Gallery in West Reading has announced the winners of the ninth annual "Nature of Nolde Forest" student art contest.

The event, which is co-produced by the nonprofit art gallery and The Friends of Nolde Forest, was open to all Berks County students in grades one through 12.

The art of this year's 47 finalists will be on exhibit this weekend at Nolde Forest Mansion, 3025 New Holland Road, Cumru Township. The open houses will be May 3, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.; May 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and May 5, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Following the Sunday open house, awards totaling over $600 will be presented at McConnell Hall by Art Plus Gallery members Helen Reinhold and Russell Slocum.
