Noah Gaffney Beats Summer Heat By Cliff Jumping

If you haven't heard of him yet, meet Noah Gaffney- a young professional skier from Olympic Valley, California that is gearing up to take the skiing world by storm.

Temperatures soared into the triple digits in some parts of California this week, and while the weather up in Tahoe was bearable, Gaffney went to an undisclosed location to practice another hobby of his that he excels at- cliff jumping.

Watch as he flips and flies his way into the chilly water below:

Not too bad for a professional skier, eh? 😉

Gaffney is obviously no stranger to throwing himself into the air and flipping/spinning. He's made a name for himself in his short career thus far by sending big airs and tricks off notable spots around his home resort of Palisades Tahoe.

Need some proof? Check out his POV of an absolutely MONSTER triple backflip he threw this past season:

Gaffney had a stellar season skiing the record-breaking snowfall at his home resort. His Instagram page was littered throughout the year with what seemed like an endless stream of jaw-dropping clips.

My favorite moment from Gaffney's season, and perhaps everybody else's with a brain, was when he became the first person of the year to send McConkey's (aka Eagle's Nest) off Palisades' famous KT-22 chairlift.

The line is rarely skied in a normal year due to the rough terrain and near-vertical rock face. Gaffney couldn't have known that a dozen or so skiers would be able to ski it later in the year thanks to ample snowfall, but that's besides the point.

Now that was skiing!
