Noah Centineo Directs Lily Collins in ARTY's "Save Me Tonight" Music Video

Peter Kavinsky would 100% approve.

Noah Centineo is officially an actor/director.

The To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before star teamed up with Lily Collins for the music video for ARTY’s “Save Me Tonight.” In addition to starring alongside Lily (with a role that’s very Peter Kavinsky-esque), Noah also directed the four-minute video.

Arty’s upbeat single serves as the backdrop for a super-relatable story. Lily plays a student who just started at a new school, and is instantly bullied by some of her classmates. (A particularly heinous moment shows someone dumping an entire can of garbage over her head at lunch.) Fortunately, she soon runs into Noah’s character — quite literally, as he helps her pick up books in the hallway. He introduces her to his friends, and the crew of outsiders plot their very colorful and creative revenge on the mean bullies. The video ends on a pretty uplifting note, and while we wouldn’t necessarily recommend their elaborate prank, you can’t help but root for Lily, Noah, and their squad.

Noah and Lily both shared the music video on social media, with each star expressing their excitement over the project. “I convinced @artymusic to let me direct the music video for ‘Save Me Tonight’ and somehow @lilycollins agreed to star in it with a bunch of our friends,” Noah wrote on Twitter, while Lily described it as “an insanely fun day.”

In an interview with Billboard, Noah explained that the entire project was built on friendship, noting that he and ARTY created the storyline together “from the ground up,” and everything else quickly fell into place. “It was a perfect scenario for friends to come together and create,” the actor and director said. “That’s truly what I’m here for.” ARTY told Billboard that working with Noah and Lily was “a dream come true,” adding: “Having the chance to collaborate with my friends was so much fun. Noah did an incredible job.”
