The Honey Baked Ham Co.

Ham is a staple on many holiday tables throughout the year, but when Easter comes around, it’s frequently the star of the show. Many Southerners have mastered the perfect ham with the help of our go-to guide—from Glazed Spiral-Cut to Sweet Tea-Brined to juicy pork straight from the slow-cooker. Some home cooks swear by studded cloves, pineapple, or the addition of one carbonated secret ingredient. That said, we don’t always have hours to babysit a ham (especially after the Easter church service).

Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, The Honey Baked Ham Co. has become a go-to for Southerners in a pinch, serving up juicy, expertly crafted hams that rival the hours of roasted from-scratch perfection. Last year, the company did some research into Easter celebrations, discovering that more than 80% of folks opt for ham as their Easter meal and parents are now passing the hosting torch to their kids, specifically millennials.

First-time hosts are doing things a bit differently than previous generations, including inviting friends—instead of just family members—for their special Easter meal and opting for a laid-back buffet or family-style service. Overwhelmingly, 91% of first-time Easter hosts said that their family’s Easter traditions were important to them and they planned to carry on the torch even as new traditions are introduced.

For those intimidated by cooking a ham for the first time, HoneyBaked is volunteering to do all the hard work. The company is offering up a menu of full Easter meals to simplify hosting, each including their signature ham with its classic sweet-and-crunchy glaze or tender turkey breast. Plus, a Honey Baked Ham requires no oven space unless you want to warm up slices before serving.

HoneyBaked’s seasonal menu includes:

  • Signature Honey Baked Ham Meal: A bone-in-half ham topped with HoneyBaked’s signature sweet and crunchy glaze. Choose from four Heat & Serve sides: Maple Sweet Potato Souffle, Double Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese, Cheesy Potatoes Au Gratin, or Baked Cinnamon Apples.

  • Half Boneless Ham Meal: A boneless half ham topped with HoneyBaked’s signature sweet and crunchy glaze. Choose from four Heat & Serve sides.

  • Take & Bake Ham & Cheddar Biscuits: Take & Bake biscuits feature Honey Baked Ham & cheddar cheese generously piled on eight Southern-style buttermilk biscuits and topped with savory Garlic Herb Butter and Sweet Honey Glaze Sauce.

  • Take & Bake Sliders: A 12-pack of sliders available in original Ham & Swiss or savory Garlic Herb Turkey & Cheddar. Both are served on King’s Hawaiian Rolls.

To add to the good news: Honey Baked Ham leftovers can be refrigerated for seven to ten days after your celebration. If you’re hoping to take HoneyBaked up on their Easter offer, the brand encourages customers to order online no later than March 29 for in-store pickup on March 30. You can find your closest HoneyBaked location here.

If you’d like to take on the ham yourself, our Maple-Bourbon Glazed Ham is a five-star recipe out of ingredients you likely already have on hand. (We’ll plan the whole menu, if you’ll let us.)

Regardless of which recipes you choose, we hope that you and your loved ones have a holiday full of Easter joy—and maybe Hummingbird Cupcakes with Candied Pineapple Wedges.
