WFIT's Sonic Waves Music Festival will take place on Saturday, April 13 from 5 to 10 p.m. at Intracoastal Brewing Company, 652 W. Eau Gallie Blvd., in the Eau Gallie Arts District (EGAD). Zeddemore will headline, featuring David Pastorius on bass. Local 518, The Mean Violets and Tina Eno round out the lineup. Admission is free. 3. Melbourne Municipal Band concert

The Melbourne Municipal Band honors military bandleader Col. Hal Gibson on his 100th birthday with a pair of concerts at the Melbourne Auditorium, 625 E. Hibiscus Blvd., on Wednesday and Thursday, April 17 and 18 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. with pre show entertainment provided by the Sunshine Brass Quintet. Admission is free. 4. Downtown Melbourne Botanical Fest

It's easy being green with the help of Melbourne Main Street’s Botanical Fest, which will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 13, at the parking lot of the 1900 Building at the corner of U.S.1 and New Haven Ave. in Melbourne. The family-friendly event attracts visitors from the region and features lavish landscape designs, garden sculptures, flowers and plants, trees and shrubs, unique gifts, garden-themed art, great food and much more. 5. Cocoa Village Book Fest

This free, family-and-pet friendly night will be outdoors in the Central Park area of The Avenue Viera, 2261 Town Center Ave., on the third Thursday of every month. This month’s event will be Thursday, April 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. Enjoy live music, vendors, complimentary snacks and a free drink or ice cream. There will be live music by Tru Phonic.
