'Nioh' & 'Ninja Gaiden' Developer Explore Feudal China in 'Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty'

Nioh and Ninja Gaiden developer Team Ninja has just unveiled its latest project over at this year's Xbox showcase: Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Set in feudal China, the new title brings players back to the age of the Three Kingdoms, but this time the historical fantasy game comes with a different twist — the land is now infested by nefarious demons from the underworld.

Confronting these entities and beasts, you'll be playing as a nameless militia member in the Late Han Period as you try to fight off the demon invasion to save China. While the trailer itself doesn't reveal any gameplay for now, the fight sequences showcase a number of weapons and special abilities you'll have at your disposal to take on the demonic forces.

Available for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will arrive in early 2023. Stay tuned for more updates to come.

Elsewhere in gaming, God of War: Ragnarok is rumored to be releasing before the end of the year.
