Sure, the Nintendo Switch comes with two Joy-Con controllers and we really do like them a lot — we love how they clip onto the Switch system and how it’s super easy to play with a friend. But when you need to get really serious about games, especially intense adventure titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Super Mario Odyssey, you should invest in something built for the job. The Nintendo Pro Controller is definitely the best tool for a gamer, and this Cyber Monday, it’s only $50, a 29 percent drop and the cheapest we’ve ever seen this normally $70 gamepad!

Not convinced just yet? Well, the Pro Controller has almost 50,000 five-star reviews at Amazon, with a spectacular 4.9 out of 5 rating. One gamer calls it “very comfortable and intuitive,” noting that its battery life and layout are particularly good. And this player has a lot to say: "Feels great in my hand, and the larger buttons are nice. The D-pad is very responsive and feels as good as the classic D-pads Nintendo has made in the past. Pairing was a cinch and the battery lasts a long time on one charge." He calls it "great for serious gamers." And this old timer agrees, calling it "the BEST controller I've ever bought from ANY system in my 30 years of gaming."

But even casual gamers can benefit from the improved controls, like this small-handed customer who says it "instantly has a great feel right out of the box, with a nice sure weight that comes from its rumble pack and internal battery. It works great if you have problems using the smaller Joy-Con controller in its handle accessory. The controller charges relatively quick, and pairing is easy with the console once you've plugged the charge cable into the Switch base at least once." Today only, you can go Pro for just 50 bucks.
