Nina Dobrev Revealed the Drugstore Skin-Care Products She Uses Every Day, and They’re Just $7

In March, Nina Dobrev was kind enough to hang out here at Allure and answer questions her fans asked her on Twitter, including requests for skin-care advice. "One big, main, important thing is to wash your makeup off every night before you go to bed," she told one fan. And now, the Fam star has revealed exactly which remarkably affordable products she relies on to do just that.

In a video for Harper's Bazaar, Dobrev takes us through her nighttime skin-care routine and, as recommended, she starts by removing her makeup. However, her technique is admittedly a little rough. Using an Allure Best of Beauty Award-winning Simple Micellar Make-Up Remover Wipe, Dobrev goes to town on her face, saying, "I'm told you're supposed to be really light on your skin, especially around the undereye area, but I don't always practice what I preach," referring to her heavy-handedness.

The wipes aren't the only drugstore favorite in her regimen. She also uses Simple Dual Effect Eye Make-Up Remover to make sure she really got everything. "In order to remove the makeup around the eyes, sometimes I like to use a Q-tip to really get in there," Dobrev explains, as she douses a cotton swab with the clear liquid and begins swiping it around her lash line.

Dobrev's cleansing routine actually involves four products, the other two being a little more expensive than the Simple picks. OK, they're a lot more expensive. She puts two pumps of Dr. Barbara Sturm Cleanser ($70) into her hand and then mixes it with Dr. Barbara Sturm Enzyme Cleanser ($75) for an exfoliating boost. "The exfoliant helps really get into the pores and get rid of that dead skin," she says. "It also removes the makeup if anything's been left behind that the makeup wipes were not able to get."

The rest of Dobrev's nighttime lineup is also quite an investment. Two more $300-plus Dr. Barbara Sturm products follow her face-washing — Hyaluronic Serum and Super Anti-Aging Serum — which is followed by La Mer The Moisturizing Soft Cream ($85 to $490, depending upon the size). And although Dobrev claims she has several pimples — which she spot-treats with $57 La Roche-Posay Redermic R Retinol Cream — we definitely don't see them.

Dobrev's bedtime beauty routine runs about $1,000. But it surges to $3,300 when you add the Deese Pro LED Mask. A little terrifying to behold, what it does is anything but: The mask uses low-level light therapy to improve the skin's condition with the same technology a dermatologist would use in-office.

Dobrev definitely makes all of the products seem worth the splurge, but if that's not realistic at least we know we can kick off our cleansing with two celebrity-approved, budget-friendly makeup removers.
