Nina Dobrev Revealed Taylor Swift Almost Appeared on "The Vampire Diaries"
Taylor Swift almost appeared in The Vampire Diaries, according to series star Nina Dobrev.
The producers wanted to write a role for the singer after hearing she was a TVD fan.
It turns out, Taylor Swift is a The Vampire Diaries super fan, and almost made a trip to Mystic Falls.
Nina Dobrev recently revealed that the pop star was all set to make an appearance on The Vampire Diaries during the show's run.
"I remember at the very beginning, we heard that Taylor Swift was a fan of the show. And then the producers tried to write a role for her," she told E! News's Pop of the Morning. "It didn't work our schedule-wise, obviously, she wasn't on the show. But that was a surprising one."
Nina, who starred in the show's first six seasons, didn't reveal what kind of character the pop start would have played if she starred on the show. However, it seems like things might have been in the works for her during the first few seasons when Nina was still in the series.
During the interview, the E! hosts mentioned that it would have been interesting to see how fans reacted to seeing T-Swift on the show, noting how Ed Sheeran's appearance on Game of Thrones was not entirely well-received.
"Oh really?" she said, hinting that she didn't know about the backlash. "Nah, I think she would've been great."
