Nina Dobrev Has Been Announced as Dior Beauty's New Official Brand Partner

The actor is taking her love for the brand to a new level.

For as long as we've been following Nina Dobrev behind the scenes as she gets ready for entertainment and fashion industry events, one thing has always held true: She uses Dior Beauty products. At the Dior Backstage launch party in 2018, every makeup product that touched her face was either Dior or Dior Backstage, and for the Critics' Choice Awards in early 2019, she prepped for that beloved Dior makeup with exclusively Dior skin-care products. And now, Harper's Bazaar reports, she can say she's using Dior Beauty products as an official brand partner.

In the new interview, Dobrev explains that, as far back as her contemporary love of Dior goes, her memories of the brand go back all the way to childhood. "I remember seeing the Dior campaigns in the airports," Dobrev tells Harper's Bazaar of growing up in Europe. "I always looked up to Dior. It felt so timeless and classy and elegant in every way."

It wasn't until childhood was behind her, however, that she actually started using the designer brand's makeup, and a few key products have stood out as favorites. It all starts with a great foundation (literally): Allure 2019 Best of Beauty Award winner Forever 24H Wear High Perfection Skin-Caring Matte Foundation, a medium-coverage formula with a matte finish and SPF 35 protection. Dobrev tells Harper's Bazaar that it really comes in handy when hormones get the best of her skin. "I really like it because it covers the breakouts but it doesn't feel cakey," she says. "You feel covered but you don't feel suffocated with makeup. It looks natural and clean and fresh and glowy and I really enjoy it."

While she understandably adores Dior's classic 999 shade of red lipstick — which comes in several formulas, it seems her love for Dior runs deepest when it comes to fragrance — specifically, Miss Dior. "I have been wearing Miss Dior since I was way too young," Dobrev says, telling Harper's Bazaar that the classic floral is her preferred evening fragrance. "I think the Miss Dior scent is what I always associated with that grace and timelessness. That was probably the first product I recognized, purchased, and aspired to as a little girl."

And with her official partnership, it looks like that little girl's biggest beauty dreams have come true.
