Nili Lotan Pre-Fall 2021

For pre-fall, Nili Lotan offered three stories in one while concentrating on special, luxury pieces (i.e.: outerwear and hand-embroidered attire).
A collegiate grouping of jean jackets, blazers, striped T-shirts and denim corduroy; a bohemian rock ’n’ roll grouping of new hand-embroidered garments and signature cool-girl layers, and a final grouping of neutral white, ivory and wheat layers, which added a fresh touch layered throughout. Once again, Lotan’s statement outerwear — vests, coats, ponchos and jackets in suede, plush shearling, denim and more — proved standout and brought the looks together cohesively and elegantly.

To emphasize the duality of the pieces, Lotan shot the collection two ways — in upstate New York at her new home as well as on the streets of downtown TriBeCa — offering a play between city and country. Overall, the collection melded Lotan’s signature 1970s vintage inspirations into a modern wardrobe fit for any location.
