NikkieTutorials' Net Worth Is the Glow Up We Live For
Nikkie de Jager, better known by her 12.8 million YouTube subscribers as NikkieTutorials, has just made headlines following her coming out as a transgender woman in her latest video. Even though Nikkie says she was blackmailed into coming out by people she didn't name, she hasn't let the haters win and has seen so much support from fans and fellow YouTubers online.
Nikkie has one of the most subscribed to beauty channels on YouTube, not to mention millions of followers on Twitter, Instagram (13.3 on Instagram alone!) and Facebook. With all that attention she's made some big money moves along the way. She's had collaborations with multiple beauty brands and has worked with a bunch of celebrities. So with all of this success, how much is Nikkie actually worth?
Nikkie started her channel back in 2008 when YouTube wasn't really a career option. So in the meantime she took tons of makeup classes and worked as a professional makeup artist. She was even the head makeup artist on the UK's Lifetime show "I Can Make You a Supermodel" in 2013. But once Nikkie started working as a freelance makeup artist, she devoted more time to YouTube.
Her first viral video called "The Power of MAKEUP" was posted in 2015 . She gave herself full glam on one side of her face with the other side completely bare. She really did transform her whole face and that video is still her most watched at 41 million views.
And, like so many other YouTubers, Nikkie has done a few collabs. She released two collections with OFRA Cosmetics and she collaborated with Maybelline on a highlighter back in 2018.
Nikkie also did a collab with Too Faced Cosmetics but that one was full of drama behind the scenes. Jeffree Star told Shane Dawson that she was seriously underpaid. In Shane's docu-series, Star told him that Nikkie was paid a flat fee of $50,000 which is basically nothing in comparison to the $10 million+ he said the palette brought in.
But let's not forget all the celebrities Nikkie has featured on her channel. Nikkie has done makeup for all your favs like Kim Kardashian West, Lady Gaga and Ashley Graham.
This all gave Nikkie some real recognition. She won a Shorty Award in 2017 for YouTube Guru of the Year and she won a Teen Choice Award for Choice Web Star in the Fashion/Beauty category that same year.
Last year she pioneered a brand-new deal when she became the first ever Global Beauty Advisor for Marc Jacobs Beauty. In a press release, the beauty brand said this gave Nikkie the chance to share her love and knowledge of makeup around the world via Marc Jacobs Beauty and be "integrated into the brand's product development process."
All of this adds up to some serious cash. According to Celebrity Net Worth, NikkieTutorials is estimated to be worth $6 million. Think of all the highlighter you can buy.
