Nike's newest basketball-inspired silhouette lands in the form of the KD 16 -- first introduced by Nike and Kevin Durant as the KD 4.

Acting as an evolution of Durant's tributes to his late aunt, who unfortunately passed away due to breast cancer, the new silhouette is set to land in a sweet "Aunt Pearl" colorway. Boasting a pale pink hue across the shoe's tongues, mesh underlays and textured midsole molds, the new kicks feature hot pink accents across the eyelets, heel icons and mid-foot molds.

Rounding out the silhouette are tiny rear Swooshes, landing in a bright white hue for added contrast. Taking a closer look, we can see a rose motif at the left shoe's tongue, with a nod to Durant's aunt and former basketball coach, Kay Yow, appearing on the sock liners.

Take a look at the forthcoming Nike KD 16 "Aunt Pearl" above, expected to be released on October 14, in line with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
