Nike X Bode Is Here, in All Its Vintage Americana Glory

Nike's got a busy year ahead with the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris — but before the ceremonial torch is lit, the sportswear brand is introducing another designer collaboration to its esteemed roster, which includes Sacai, Undercover and Jacquemus.

On April 18, Nike is releasing Bode Rec., an apparel and footwear capsule with the celebrated New York label Bode that celebrates and brings the vintage Americana sportswear aesthetic to present-day.

"Through Bode Rec. and our inaugural partnership with Nike, I hope to reintroduce a spirit of playfulness into athletic wear and inspire others to examine their own family histories and the core values of both competitive and recreational sports, which are integral to national identity," Emily Bode Aujla said, in a statement.

The drop includes a track jacket, a thermal, a jersey, woven shorts, trousers, pinnies and dickies, plus a new riff on the Nike Astrograbber. Bode Aujla was drawn to the sneaker style, which dates back to the '70s, when she visited the brand's archives in search of items "that had been transformational to sports," she said. (The waffle-soled Astrograbber was among Nike's first turf shoes, but has never been reissued.) If you're wondering if they'll resonate in 2024: Kaia Gerber was already photographed in them.

Bode Rec. launches Thursday, April 18 at 6:00 p.m. ET on bode.com and will arrive in select Bode stores on Friday, April 19 at 11:00 a.m. It'll then be available to shop on Nike's SNKRS app and in select Nike stores on May 1. See all the products in the collection, below.
