Nike and Spotify's Latest Collab Blends the Healing Power of Music, Exercise and Community

Aligning with World Mental Health Day, Nike and Spotify have announced the Make Moves Fund, a joint social impact initiative combining the healing power of music, exercise and community.

According to a study by STEER, teenage girls are more than twice as likely to experience poor mental health than boys by age 18. Thus, Nike and Spotify want to challenge this by instilling confidence, encouraging self-expression in young girls and providing multiple £20,000 grants to UK-based community organizations working on pioneering girl-first program ideas.

With British girl band FLO leading the way as fund ambassadors, the initiative also has support from the global Creative Studio, Black Girl Fest. Overall, the Make Moves Fund feeds the TikTok dance trend taking over the world--a symbol of Gen Z culture that allows this group to move following their own rules.

"We've all been in these young girls' shoes, and we want to inspire the next generation of young women to be bold, express themselves, and feel confident and comfortable in their own skin," shared FLO in a statement.
