Nike Is Releasing a SpongeBob Sneaker Collection and the Nostalgia is SO Real
Nike teamed up with basketball player Kyrie Irving for a SpongeBob SquarePants sneaker collection.
The line will be available to shop on August 10 to honor the show's 20 year anniversary.
OHHHHHHH! Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SpongeBob SquarePants! And Nike has just created an epic sneaker collection in his honor.
To celebrate 20 years of jellyfish hunting and Krabby Patties, the athleisure brand teamed up with pro basketball player Kyrie Irving to specially create the Kyrie x SpongeBob SquarePants collection inspired by the show's two main characters.
Together, they designed one sneaker for SpongeBob and one for Patrick – and they're actually really freaking cool. No light-up soles, no kiddie prints, just sleek runners printed with the iconic colors of each character.

In fact, you'd never even know that the shoes were SpongeBob-inspired unless you took a peek on the inside, where you'll see both characters' smiling faces looking back at you. *SpongeBob voice* Dawww.
