Nike Goes 'Back to the Future' With Mag-Inspired Air Force 1

Although Nike has not confirmed its release yet, it looks like the footwear brand may be going back in time for its latest Air Force 1.

First introduced in 1989, in Back To The Future II, the highly popular Air Mags "Back To The Future" serves as the newest shoe's point of reference. Marty McFly's self-lacing sneakers are quite literally the stuff dreams are made out of. Although the contemporary version lacks the technological capabilities, its colorway bears a resemblance. The base arrives in a light grey leather, while pops of teal brighten the branding on the midsole, insole and tongue, nodding to its retro inspiration. Elsewhere, white appears on the logo heel cap and rubber midsole, whereas a gray semi-opaque outsole unites the entire aesthetic.

Release details have not yet been announced by Nike, but keep an eye out for the Back To The Future II-inspired Air Force 1s to hit the brand's official online store later this year.
