Nike Delivers the Air Zoom Pegasus 38 With the Things Fans of the Running Shoes Love

Nike is set to add another look to one of its most acclaimed running shoe franchises.

Arriving before month’s end is the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38, the latest model from the line referred to as the “workhorse with wings.” For this iteration, the Swoosh said it only made minor adjustments to its predecessor to ensure it offers wearers a reliable and consistent ride.

Nike equipped the Air Zoom Pegasus 38 with a fresh individual midfoot webbing system, which it explained offers runners a personalized fit, a tongue that is a separate piece and made with additional foam and comfortable and breathable sandwich mesh material added for comfort. What’s more, the shoe is built on a fresh last, which the brand said provides more room in the toe box — something fans of the franchise will recognize in models prior to the Pegasus 36.

Some of the things Pegasus fans will recognize are the tuned midsoles from the Air Zoom Pegasus 37 (which is paired with full-length React foam for responsiveness and a smooth transition), and 10mm forefoot Zoom Air units helps for energy return.

Runners in North America who are Nike Members can pick up the Air Zoom Pegasus 38 on April 22. A broader retail release is scheduled for April 29. The shoe will come with a $120 price tag.

What’s more, Nike confirmed that runners will be able to design their own Pegasus 38 with the Nike By You Builder starting April 29. This option will be available for both the Pegasus 38 and the Pegasus 38 Flyease, which is built with a zippered entry and no-tie lacing, allowing the wearer to secure the shoe with one hand.
