Nike Air Max 1 ‘Mystic Dates’ Is Releasing Next Week — Here’s How You Can Buy a Pair

A new colorway of the iconic Nike Air Max 1 is set to arrive before month’s end.

The sportswear giant confirmed on the SNKRS app that the “Mystic Dates” iteration of the classic running sneaker will hit shelves next week. Similar to last week’s release of the “Spiral Sage” makeup, this pair is executed in a predominantly white leather upper but replaces the green with shades of mystic dates-colored overlays throughout the shoe. Adding to the look is mini Swoosh branding stitched on the forefoot and larger brown Swoosh logos appear at the midfoot.

The Nike Air Max 1 “Mystic Dates” will drop on Dec. 11 via the SNKRS app at 10 a.m. ET and at select Nike Sportswear retailers. The shoe will come with a $150 price tag.

The Nike Air Max line, according to the brand, was created by legendary designer Tinker Hatfield in 1987 after taking a trip to Paris. The architecture of the Centre Pompidou building caught the eye of Hatfield due to its translucent exterior. He then wondered what would happen if Nike took a similar approach to the design of the signature Air cushioning and created the Air Max 1, the first Air Max sneaker to release.
