Nicole Williams English Posed for SI Swimsuit 7 Months Pregnant to Inspire Others

With her reveal in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2023 issue, Nicole Williams English is on a mission to inspire not only other women, but her own (currently-newborn) daughter.
The model, entrepreneur, and designer recently became a new mom after welcoming daughter India Moon with husband, former NFL player Larry English, in January—but before that, posed seven months pregnant while carrying the babe, becoming only the second model ever to be featured in SI Swimsuit while visibly expecting.
When it comes to the opportunity, Williams English says it is something she has manifested for two decades, having never imagined her dream would come to fruition while she was with child.
“The fact that I’m actually a rookie and shooting while pregnant, it’s just really cool to know that my baby girl is going through this with me and that one day she’s gonna look back and see all these photos and know that she was shooting for SI with mama,” the creator of Nia Lynn by Nicole Williams English told SI Swim during the shoot, after attending a casting call with the franchise six years prior.
A lifelong goal now realized, she hopes her perseverance will serve as an inspiration to her daughter to chase her own aspirations in the future.
“I hope that I can inspire people and show a part of me—especially being pregnant doing this,” Williams English said of the coveted gig.
She continued: “To be able to show my daughter this, and to be able to tell her the story of how I got here and how hard I worked to get here, and how this was my biggest dream and my biggest goal, and to tell her to chase her dreams and never give up, this is just so special.”
In addition to becoming a 2023 SI Swim rookie, she also announced her pregnancy with the brand during Miami Swim Week last summer while strutting the catwalk alongside her husband.
